DREAMCATCHER #5

$8,000.00

40”w x 58”h
Photography collage, acrylic paint, texture mediums, crushed glass and resin on wood.

First patented in 1856, the cage crinoline imprisoned women in cages. Once used to create a silhouette that was far from nature, we are left questioning the barriers from the past still defining freedoms (or lack of) in the future. The butterfly is a metaphor for transformation and triumph of the spirit over the physical prison.
